About
I established this website as a resource for those who are interested in Do-It-Yourself quadcopters. Scout is the end product of my thesis research into autonomous quadcopters at New York University’s ITP.
The site is broken up into two main sections. The first is the reference section, this section explains in detail each of the components and the role they play in a quadcopter.
The second section is a how-to guide for building Scout. I walk through step-by-step my process in building Scout.
I hope you find the site useful. If you have any suggestions or would like to contribute to the website, feel free to comment on an individual post or contact me directly.

I’m french guy. who to make a quadcopter or more bigest to play and makes photos and video
That’s great! Please send me a link to your photos and videos.
I want to study UAV for practical and research mekatronics in my country.
where’re u from…..
How do I start building a quadcopter?
Hi Bart, Do you have any experience with R/C planes or helicopters?
hello….
first u need to study about main component of quadcopter…..
Test
I’m a mechatronics student pursuing a concentration in UAV development, helicopter technology, I thought this would be an excellent hobby to pick up.. any advice on the lowest price point to get started building, experimenting, and working with quads?
It depends on what you want to do with the quads. There are a lot of tiny ready to fly quads for around $100. If you are looking for a UAV able to program and lift a payload. I would recommend following the Scout build guide. The resulting UAV is capable of semi-automnouse flight. You could then add GPS, a magnetometer, sonar sensor to turn the UAV into a fully autonomous UAV. If you are not inclined to build your own frame I would recommend ordering a cheap frame from Hobbyking
hello…am a robotics engineer..am looking forward for making a quadcopter with gps & camera enabled.
actlly am confused whether i should make it on ATMEGA board or ARDUINO.
Please help me regarding this problem and also tell me details of components required for making a quadcopter….
